This table summarizes the history of GSC versions including the main sources of data for each version (see photographic surveys, catalogs, passbands).
There are various options to access each version -
- API - VO compliant webservice
- FITS - Entire catalog as a zip file containing a nested directory structure with a FITS file for each GSC2 region
- CDS - Also available from Centre de Données astronomiques de Strasbourg
