There are several methods available for retrieving PanSTARRS images and catalogs. They include capabilities that range from simple form interfaces for quick queries to full database access using Structured Query Language (SQL) for large, long-running queries. There are tools suitable for interactive use, including the sophisticated MAST Portal interface that has capabilities of browsing, filtering, plotting, etc. There are also programmatic interfaces that can be used within scripts. This page briefly summarizes the tools and modes of access and links to pages describing the services in more detail.

The PanSTARRS catalog is a large database of the objects and measurements of their properties including astrometry, photometry, and morphology. It includes copious metatdata including links to the images that were used for the various object measurements. (Maybe include some stats on catalog/database size here.)
The PS1 images are available for the five PS1 filters and for both single epoch observations and for combined multi-epoch stacked images.

Put one or more images or figures at the top of this column. Novices may simply "Insert" an "Image" here. Experts should create first go to the "Media Repository" page and "Create" a new "PS1 image information" page for the new image. The image information page provide a mechanism for capturing metadata and including alternate versions of the figure.
Include an infobox below the picture. Summarize key facts in the infobox. The infobox helps users quickly assess the content of the article.
