Q2: I am writing a NIRSpec proposal and would like to know how to convert target coordinates from Gaia DR2 to DR3.
A2: Find a few stars for which you have Gaia DR2 coordinates and make sure coordinates are matched to DR3, using image alignment such as tweakreg. Note, that you cannot always rely on other calibrations, just in case you have stars with relatively high proper motions. Every parameter that goes into this is important: epoch, coordinates, proper motions, parallax, etc.
Having the correct coordinates is especially important for fixed slit observations with NIRSpec.
