NIRSpec - Munazza

• Charge migration TR is ready to be submitted for review within team
• Starting writing up systematic slopes
• Ongoing work on timestamp differences by Alicia Lloyd (intern) - update in a couple of weeks!
• Considering implementing multistripe for NIRSpec
  • Unlikely to be ready for Cycle 6  

NIRISS - Aarynn

• There's studies for the spectral profile for SOSS ongoing — want to refine this model.
  • Going through building all the resources how people are doing this.
  • Will pick the best way forward using that for both full frame and subarray.
  • Aim is to finish this around ~February
• The other work is 1/f for SOSS
  • Tricks used for other instruments just don't work because all pixels are illuminated.
  • Taking a look at this now.
  • Trying the current steps with all settings that can be thought of to showcase need something more involved to improve data quality
  • Hopefully make this happen next year.
• Prepping SOSS MULTISTRIPE for commissioning
  • Won't be doing it until ~June
  • But hopefully if able to do a quick turnaround on this could have it ready for within Cycle 5.
  • Significant number of props on this mode for Cycle 5.
• There's an update for SOSS Order 3
  • Update to PASTASOSS now to get a quick fix to be able to support Order 3 on the pipeline
  • Nestor Espinoza suggests to reach out to Jens Hoeijmakers who has a calibration program for Order 3

NIRCam - Brian/Achrene

• DHS
  • Issue with ASIC microcode not providing sufficient time to provide commands to the detector
  • Arizona duplicated this in the lab and produced a configuration fix!
  • Issue only for NIRCam
  • Plan to get an on-sky test in early spring/summer. 
  • Next month the ASIC team will meet to get things going on the operations side. 
• DHS Calibration
  • Calibration will happen in March, commissioning in May/June.
    • So same thing as last year but with a one year delay.
  • Wavelength and flux calibration
    • Pushing for TSO of WASP-18 in June too, plan may change with commissioning
  • Will contact PI's of DHS programs about the plan.

MIRI - Hannah/Taylor

• New MIRI Subarrays
  • Somewhere on the ETC team, some questions as to what readout modes should be available. 
  • Aim is to make this available prior to Cycle 6, people could ask to switch their Cycle 4/5 proposals too. 
• MIRI Multistripe
  • Not too relevant to TSO
    • Primarily for MIRI MRS
    • Aarynn: Why not LRS
      • Taylor: Just not being considered at the moment
    • Hannah:
      
      • Based on how well imaging works, could consider this for LRS
      • Need to work on the science case
• Taylor working on a technical report for brighter fatter calibration
  • Long timescale, but goal is to have things ready by June

• Néstor: Is there still an issue with the code not accounting for the length of the cable?
  • 
  • NIRISS/NIRSpec/FGS allows direct communication between ASIC and detector, NIRCam doesn't
  • Has to take a longer path, and wasn't given enough time to reach the detector.
  • Solution is to allocate more time. 
• Loïc: Why does NIRCam not have a direct connection
  • Question for Everett - he has moved to Schmidt Sciences
• Aarynn: Why couldn't Goddard test this?
  
  • Didn't have temperature control or fidelity of the copy of the system
  • Also an issue of urgency, and available personnel
