The Space Telescope Science Institute Director has decided to devote 600-1000 orbits of Director's Discretionary time in observing Cycles 27-28 29 to a new Hubble Ultraviolet Legacy Initiative focused on star formation and the associated stellar physics. The Ultraviolet Legacy Initiative will be modeled after the Frontier Fields program: all data obtained will be non-proprietary.

A working group has been formed to engage with the scientific community and shape the final scientific program. The Working Group is charged specifically with providing advice to the STScI Director on the form and attributes of a final observing program. The Director will take full account of the advice presented by the WG in their final report in developing the observing program.

As  part of the process, the working group is soliciting community input via the following survey:

Members: Nate Bastian (Liverpool), Paul Crowther (Sheffield), Andrew Fox (STScI), Jay Gallaggher (Wisconsin), Ana Gomez de Castro (Madrid), Claus Leitherer (STScI), Christy Tremonti (Wisconsin)

The Working Group has compiled two sets of observations that exemplify aspects of a potential final observing program.
