Important Things to Know
The Portal Guide provides comprehensive documentation for searching and retrieving data from the multi-mission archive using the rich features of the Portal web application. Read in particular the chapter Introduction to the Portal for essential things to know before using the Portal, and read the Field Guide to the Portal to familiarize yourself with the visual interface.
Pre-launch Portal
Take note that, prior to JWST launch, data from the JWST simulators are accessed from a special JWST instance of the Portal, at https://mast.stsci.edu/jwst/. After launch the simulator data will be safe-stored, and all in-flight JWST data will be accessible from the Multi-mission Portal at https://mast.stsci.edu/.
