This article explains how to acknowledge and cite the use of FIMS-SPEAR data and documentation.
Please acknowledge and cite use of the FIMS-SPEAR data by following all of these steps:
- Include both of the following in the acknowledgements section of your papers:
- "This research is based [in part] on observations made with the FIMS-SPEAR mission, a joint project of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), the Korea Astronomy and Space Institute (KASI), and the University of California, Berkeley. FIMS-SPEAR was funded by the Korean Ministry of Science and Technology and NASA grant NAG5-5355."
- Acknowledge MAST as described on the Mission Acknowledgements page under "Contributed Missions".
- Cite at least both the following papers:
- Cite the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for FIMS-SPEAR at MAST, 10.17909/dsbe-kj54. Include the following text in your paper:
- Using AASTex 6.3 or above: The FIMS-SPEAR documentation and data are available at the MAST archive via \dataset[10.17909/dsbe-kj54]{\doi{10.17909/dsbe-kj54}}

- If your research is based on the SPEAR specially-reduced observations of the Vela supernova remnant, please additionally cite Nishikida et al. 2006.
